Position Overview
Broadcom is seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to drive Agile excellence across multiple Scrum Teams operating within an Agile Release Train (ART). The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of SAFe, strong leadership, coaching capabilities, and proven experience facilitating complex program-level coordination. This role is critical for enabling value delivery at scale and aligning vision, strategy, and execution across product teams.
Key Responsibilities
SAFe Implementation & Agile Coaching
Coach multiple Scrum Teams to adopt, internalize, and scale SAFe practices.
Promote Lean-Agile principles, continuous improvement, and a collaborative mindset.
Mentor Scrum Masters and team members in Agile roles, ceremonies, and responsibilities.
Facilitation & Program Coordination
Facilitate ART-level events: PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, System Demos, and Scrum of Scrums.
Facilitate team ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Ensure teams stay aligned with the product vision, roadmap, and organizational objectives.
Impediment Removal & Risk Management
Proactively identify impediments at both team and ART levels.
Drive root cause analysis and escalation of systemic issues.
Track dependencies, risks, and integration concerns across teams and ensure timely resolution.
Metrics, Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
Monitor and analyze velocity, PI objectives, defect trends, flow efficiency, etc.
Provide transparent reporting to leadership on progress, risks, and achievements.
Identify improvement opportunities and implement Lean process optimizations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product Management, Product Owners, architects, and engineering leads.
Ensure seamless communication across business units and leadership layers.
Align teams toward program goals and maintain delivery predictability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years experience in software development or product engineering environments.
Strong background as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Coach.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar fields.
Certifications: SAFe Agilist (SA), Certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM I).
Deep practical experience implementing SAFe in enterprise-scale environments.
Experience with Agile tools such as Rally, Jira, and other ALM systems.
Proven ability to manage multiple Scrum Teams simultaneously.
Strong communication, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and facilitation skills.
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience as a software engineer or developer.
Additional SAFe certifications (SASM, POPM, RTE).
Experience in Monitoring, Observability, or infrastructure domains.
Organizational-level Agile coaching experience.
