Job Summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate agile delivery within BFSI, Investments & Trading projects. The role involves coaching teams on Agile best practices, managing Scrum ceremonies, coordinating with program leadership, and ensuring smooth delivery of iterations and releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and iteration planning meetings.

• Facilitate discussions within the team and with upstream/downstream teams as needed.

• Work with Delivery Leaders on project-specific activities such as resource allocation.

• Provide weekly status updates to Delivery Leaders and bi-weekly updates for Demand & Capacity meetings.

• Manage and update Planview for team Work Items, EPICs, and resource allocation.

• Ensure updates to Project & Portfolio Management tools such as Planview, JIRA, and Whoville.

• Generate reports using Planview and Power BI.

• Coach teams to follow Agile ASDM best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Track work item assignments, team velocity, backlog prioritization, and iteration planning.

• Monitor financial management in collaboration with Delivery Leads.

• Conduct sprint reviews for stakeholder sign-off and ensure blockers are promptly removed.

• Maintain visual management systems within Jira (dashboards, active boards, etc.).

Mandatory Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall experience, with at least 3–5 years as a Scrum Master.

• Strong expertise in Agile frameworks and Scrum practices.

• Experience with Jira, Planview, and other project/portfolio management tools.

• Knowledge of Kanban, SAFe, and Agile scaling frameworks.

• Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
