Role Overview
MetLife is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join its Global Technology team. This role supports software development and technology value streams by enabling Agile team practices, facilitating ceremonies, and mentoring Agile team members.
This position is part of MetLife’s Hack4Job India Hiring Hackathon. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a single Scrum or Kanban team, ensuring alignment with Agile principles
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and workshops
Maintain Kanban boards to improve visibility and optimize workflow
Coach teams to apply Agile practices effectively and continuously improve
Promote high performance, team collaboration, and innovation
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to drive value delivery
Address team dynamics and resolve interpersonal challenges
Mentor other teams and staff in Agile thinking and execution
Demonstrate adaptability to apply Agile concepts in various business situations
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
Skills: Leadership, Agile coaching, team facilitation, change management, and conflict resolution
Tools: Azure DevOps Boards, SharePoint
Certifications (Preferred):
PSM (Professional Scrum Master)
CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
CSP, SPC, ICP-ACC, or SAFe certifications
Language: Business-level English (Japanese proficiency is a plus)
