Job Overview

Aureus Tech Systems is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile delivery teams in the successful execution of complex engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, problem-solver, and servant-leader who can guide high-performing teams and ensure continuous improvement and agile excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of agile implementation including values, methods, and principles across projects.

• Build and foster self-organizing, high-performing agile teams.

• Facilitate agile ceremonies including product backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Resolve team conflicts and remove obstacles to ensure efficient sprint delivery.

• Guide the team through estimating practices and facilitate capacity planning.

• Protect the team from scope creep and uncontrolled injection of work.

• Maintain transparency by managing project artifacts and timelines in tools such as Jira, Scrum Desk, or equivalent.

• Support stakeholders, vendors, and team leads in aligning deliverables and business goals.

• Lead root cause analysis and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

• Implement and support agile principles, rules, and process adoption across the organization.

• Work closely with Product Owners to refine and manage the product backlog.

• Maintain team data in project management tools to support planning and reporting.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum principles, and frameworks.

• Proven experience facilitating Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

• Hands-on experience with project management tools (JIRA, Scrum Desk, etc.).

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Experience working with distributed teams and multiple stakeholders.

• Ability to coach and mentor agile teams on best practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I or II).

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Technical background or familiarity with software development lifecycle is a plus.
