Job Description

Exathought is looking for an experienced and certified Scrum Master to guide Agile teams in a fast-paced software development environment. The ideal candidate will bring both technical insight and Agile leadership to support high-performing, cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)

  • Remove impediments and foster self-organizing teams

  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values

  • Support the Product Owner with effective backlog management

  • Promote continuous improvement through metrics and feedback loops

  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and delivery timelines

  • Coach teams in Agile practices and support Agile adoption at scale

  • Collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams in a dynamic environment


Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Certifications

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) – Required

  • Second-level certification preferred (e.g., CSM-Advanced, PSM-II)

Experience

  • 5–7 years overall in the software development industry

  • Minimum 2+ years in a dedicated Scrum Master role

  • Experience working with distributed teams

  • Exposure to enterprise-level product development environments

Technical & Agile Skills

  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework

  • Experience with Agile tools: JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, Agile portfolio planning tools

  • Familiarity with Kanban, SAFe, and other Agile frameworks

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable using Agile metrics and team performance indicators

  • High emotional intelligence and proactive approach to problem-solving
