Role Overview

Datamatics is seeking a Technical Scrum Master with a strong software development background to lead and coach multiple Agile teams working on healthcare insurance projects. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience in software development and a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks.

The Technical Scrum Master will facilitate agile ceremonies, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to Agile and SAFe methodologies for effective project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more development teams, ensuring effective Agile practices.

  • Guide, coach, and mentor teams on Agile principles and Scrum/SAFe frameworks.

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure backlog management and delivery alignment.

  • Identify, track, and resolve impediments to improve team performance.

  • Promote self-organization, cross-functionality, and accountability within teams.

  • Ensure team adherence to SDLC, Agile, and organizational best practices.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  • Coach and develop teams to reach high-performing levels through feedback and training.

  • Partner with technical leads and managers to drive productivity, transparency, and delivery quality.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience, with strong exposure to software development and Agile project management.

  • Hands-on development experience in one or more technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, Java, Angular, Node.js, React, UI/UX, Sitecore, or AEM.

  • In-depth understanding of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).

  • Proven ability to manage multiple Scrum teams across varied technical skillsets.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certification.

  • Experience in the healthcare or insurance domain.

  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change management related to Agile transformation.
