Job Overview
The D365 F&O Technical Consultant will play a key role in designing, customizing, integrating, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in X++, D365 F&O development, performance tuning, and integrations. The role requires direct interaction with end customers, supporting UAT, conducting training, and managing both implementation and support engagements.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather and understand technical requirements.
• Develop, customize, and maintain D365 F&O components, including forms, reports, workflows, extensions, and integrations.
• Perform troubleshooting, code reviews, and ensure compliance with Microsoft development best practices.
• Handle full-cycle implementation and support projects: design, build, testing, deployment, and post-Go Live support.
• Support UAT activities, resolve technical issues, and coordinate with stakeholders during project phases.
• Deliver user training and prepare detailed technical documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth solution delivery.
• Assist with data migration, integration, performance optimization, and D365 version upgrades.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6–7 years of proven experience as a D365 F&O Technical Consultant.
• Strong proficiency in X++, SSRS reporting, Power Platform, and Data Entities.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, LCS, and integration technologies (OData, REST API, Logic Apps).
• Understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, and Project Management modules.
• Experience in UAT handling, user training, and customer-facing interactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
