Position Overview
De Facto Infotech is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Technical Consultant. The role requires strong hands-on experience in X++, technical solution development, system integrations, and reporting within the F&O ecosystem. The consultant will collaborate closely with functional teams to build enterprise-grade solutions across Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing modules. This position is ideal for individuals with deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of ERP business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development & Customization
Develop, configure, and maintain custom features using X++ and Visual Studio.
Build extensions adhering to Microsoft’s best practices for F&O development.
Customize forms, classes, tables, data entities, and workflows within D365 F&O.
Design reusable components for scalability and performance.
Reporting and Data Management
Develop and enhance SSRS reports and Electronic Reporting (ER) configurations.
Create data models and mapping structures to support complex reporting needs.
Build analytical outputs compatible with Power Platform tools.
Integrations and API Management
Develop integrations using REST/SOAP Web Services, OData, and Business Events.
Work with Batch Data API frameworks to handle bulk data movement.
Coordinate with external application teams to ensure reliable, secure integrations.
Implement Power Platform-based integrations using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
Environment Management & DevOps
Utilize Azure tools for deployment pipelines, monitoring, and automated builds.
Work with LCS (Lifecycle Services) for deployment, environment configuration, and troubleshooting.
Maintain version control, branching, and code quality via Azure DevOps.
Technical Consulting, Troubleshooting & Support
Debug production issues and identify root causes.
Provide technical recommendations and best-practice implementation strategies.
Support functional teams during requirement discussions, UAT, and go-live.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a D365 F&O Technical Consultant.
Strong understanding of Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing modules.
Expertise in X++, Visual Studio, SSRS, ER Reporting, and D365 customization frameworks.
Experience with Workflows, Batch Processes, and Security frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, LCS, and Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
Strong analytical mindset with excellent debugging skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate.
Experience on large enterprise F&O implementations.
Familiarity with Power Platform development.
