Job Summary

Cerebra is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to coordinate and lead Agile delivery across distributed global development teams. The role focuses on facilitating Agile ceremonies, driving collaboration, removing impediments, and supporting product and engineering leaders in successful sprint execution. No coding responsibilities are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Agile practices including daily standups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.

• Facilitate and organize all team activities with a strong project management orientation.

• Coordinate closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads for sprint execution and delivery.

• Manage individual backlogs for multiple teams; lead joint sprint planning and retrospectives.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Reviews, Discovery Sessions, and Retrospectives.

• Promote servant leadership by coaching teams in Agile adoption and self-organization.

• Identify, track, and remove impediments; escalate issues when needed.

• Mentor team members in Agile values, continuous improvement, and best practices.

• Support Product Managers and Product Owners in backlog refinement and prioritization.

• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile leaders to improve organizational agility.

• Maintain transparency through boards, burndowns, and visual tracking tools.

• Protect teams from external disruptions to maintain sprint focus.

• Manage cross-team dependencies through Scrum of Scrums and collaboration sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading software development teams.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent (PSM I).

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.

• Proven facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience coordinating global teams across multiple time zones.

• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence; experience with collaboration tools like Slack.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Healthcare Payer industry.

• Advanced Agile certifications (A-CSM, PSM II, SAFe Scrum Master).

• Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale).

• Background working closely with software engineering teams.

• Familiarity with technical practices such as TDD and CI/CD.

• PMP certification is an added advantage.
