Role Summary:

The Scrum Master – Agile Coach will facilitate Agile ceremonies, mentor teams in Scrum practices, and remove impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution. This role plays a vital part in promoting collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within cross-functional software development teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach the development team and product owner in Agile and Scrum principles to maximize team performance.
Act as a servant leader and promote a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability.
Remove impediments that may hinder sprint progress or team productivity.
Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlogs are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
Track sprint progress using Agile management tools such as Rally (or equivalent).
Monitor and report on team performance metrics, including velocity and burndown charts.
Encourage effective communication within the team and across external stakeholders.
Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions to maintain focus.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes that enhance delivery effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with company policies, work directives, and standards as part of organizational governance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum principles.
Experience with Rally or similar Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Demonstrated success working with diverse, cross-functional teams.
Ability to mentor, coach, and motivate Agile teams for continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
Prior experience working within healthcare or technology-driven organizations.
Familiarity with enterprise-level Agile transformation initiatives.
