Job Description:

Cognizant is hiring an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for BFSI and Payments-focused programs. The role involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing product backlogs, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth delivery of complex banking and payment solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong domain expertise in payments systems and hands-on experience with Agile tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Manage and groom product backlogs in collaboration with product owners
• Coach teams on Agile principles and ensure adherence to Scrum frameworks
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to align delivery goals
• Track project progress and remove impediments impacting team delivery
• Support Agile reporting and metrics using Jira and Confluence
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality BFSI and payment solutions
• Promote continuous improvement across Agile teams

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in BFSI or Payments domain
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience with Cards & Payments, Cross-Border Payments, and SWIFT MT Messages
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of FIS OPF systems
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle Database

Preferred Skills:

• SAFe or other Agile framework exposure
• Experience handling large, cross-functional Agile teams
• Background in banking, investments, or trading systems
• Agile certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)
