Job Summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong hands-on skills in Azure DevOps and Confluence to support engineering teams within the Motion Business Service Division. The role requires excellent Agile facilitation, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and a strong understanding of software delivery processes to ensure predictable, high-quality sprint outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Facilitation

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
Ensure consistent sprint cadence and adherence to Agile best practices.

Impediment Resolution

Identify and proactively resolve delivery blockers to maintain predictable sprint flow.

Azure DevOps Management

Own and manage Azure DevOps Boards including sprint setup, backlog structuring, workflow configuration, tagging, and reporting.
Maintain accurate workstream updates with dashboards and queries.

Metrics & Performance Tracking

Track key Agile metrics such as sprint burndown, velocity, dependencies, and performance indicators.
Create dashboards for visibility across teams and leadership.

Confluence Documentation

Maintain structured, up-to-date documentation of retrospectives, decisions, sprint plans, and workflows.
Establish documentation standards and ensure compliance across teams.

Team Coaching & Collaboration

Guide engineering teams on Agile principles and delivery practices.
Support Product Owners in backlog prioritization.
Foster collaboration across engineering, QA, product, architecture, and operations.

Stakeholder Reporting

Provide timely updates on risks, blockers, dependencies, and progress.
Enhance transparency and improve predictability, throughput, and delivery quality.

Continuous Improvement

Analyze team health KPIs and delivery data.
Recommend and implement improvements to processes, tools, and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.

Experience

8–10 years of total industry experience.
Extensive hands-on experience as a Scrum Master.
Proven expertise in Azure DevOps Boards (sprint setup, work items, dashboards).
Strong proficiency in Confluence for documentation and knowledge management.

Skills & Knowledge

Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery frameworks.
Knowledge of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and technical delivery structures.
Experience supporting distributed engineering teams.
Familiarity with scaling frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.
Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Experience working in software product companies, industrial automation, IoT, analytics, or enterprise technology platforms.
Scrum Master certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP) preferred.
