Role Overview:
We are seeking a Scrum Master / Senior Engineer to lead Agile teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement. The Scrum Master acts as a servant-leader, guiding the team to apply Scrum principles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Scrum Events:

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies consistently and productively

• Clarify goals and objectives for each ceremony

• Guide Sprint Planning and Refinement sessions

• Maintain accurate Jira boards and documentation

Board Health:

• Ensure the board reflects accurate work progression

• Own readiness for backlog refinement and sprint start

Impediment Removal:

• Identify and resolve blockers

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to unblock teams

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Represent the team in cross-team forums

• Promote transparency and collaboration with stakeholders

Performance Monitoring:

• Track team velocity and coach on using it for planning

• Facilitate discussions if velocity deviates from expectations

Sprint Success Communication:

• Communicate changes in scope, ad hoc requests, and constraints

• Protect team focus and align on sprint goals

Process Improvement & Team Support:

• Integrate best practices and monitor team morale

• Mentor team members on Agile and Scrum practices

• Encourage self-organization and cross-functional collaboration

Authority:

• Empower the team to make decisions

• Request stakeholder support for impediment resolution

• Challenge the team and organization to improve continuously

Mandatory Competencies:

• Agile/Scrum methodologies

• JIRA and development tools proficiency

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
