Role Purpose & Context:

Nextgen Clearing is seeking an experienced Scrum Master responsible for establishing and promoting Scrum practices in alignment with the Scrum Guide. The Scrum Master acts as a servant-leader, mentor, and coach for Scrum Teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

This role plays a key part in fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across teams, working closely with Product Owners, Developers, and organizational stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Serving the Scrum Team:

  • Coach team members in self-management and cross-functionality.

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) within defined timeboxes.

  • Ensure teams focus on delivering high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.

  • Identify and help remove impediments to the team’s progress.

Serving the Product Owner:

  • Support effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Team to create clear and valuable backlog items.

  • Facilitate communication and alignment with stakeholders.

Serving the Organization:

  • Lead, train, and coach the organization in Agile and Scrum adoption.

  • Promote a culture of transparency, empirical decision-making, and continuous improvement.

  • Work with leadership to remove barriers between Scrum Teams and stakeholders.

  • Advocate Agile values across distributed and cross-functional teams.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master guiding Agile teams.

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP).

  • Hands-on experience in Agile software development environments.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to coach and mentor teams toward self-management and delivery excellence.

  • Certification: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM); advanced level preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred but not mandatory.
