Job Summary

Williams Lea is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join its Global Engineering team to lead the design, development, automation, and delivery of key business processes supporting client service operations. The role focuses on guiding multiple Scrum teams, driving Agile adoption, ensuring smooth release cycles, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Role Purpose

The Scrum Master will oversee and coach cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum values and Agile principles. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders to support automation projects, enhance team efficiency, remove impediments, and ensure successful testing and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile Scrum processes and ensure adherence to Scrum methodology.

  • Lead and guide teams that include Solution Architects, Developers, and Testers across global locations.

  • Conduct all Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Maintain sprint and product backlogs with accurate, updated information.

  • Drive successful project delivery by managing story tickets through the Agile lifecycle.

  • Identify, remove, or coordinate removal of impediments affecting team performance.

  • Support Product Owners with backlog management, prioritization, and release planning.

  • Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment.

  • Oversee testing activities across releases, ensuring test scripts, data, and teams are aligned.

  • Manage dependencies, conflicts, and team dynamics to maintain a productive environment.

  • Encourage collaboration, self-organization, cross-functional teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Generate and maintain Scrum metrics and Agile performance reports.

  • Shield teams from external disruptions to maintain sprint focus.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards, best practices, and proper documentation.

  • Stay updated with Scrum and Agile industry trends and share knowledge within teams.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in software development environments.

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum values, roles, events, and artifacts.

  • Knowledge of Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing.

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and resolve team or client conflicts.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools and project management platforms.

  • Ability to motivate cross-functional teams and drive delivery outcomes.

  • Minimum 5+ years as a Scrum Master or relevant delivery management experience.

  • First-level Scrum Master Certification or willingness to pursue one.

Desirable Skills

  • Certifications: CSM or PSM (highly desirable).

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira Software.

  • Experience with Automation Hub.

  • Project management experience is an added advantage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
