Role Purpose

The Scrum Master L2 is responsible for facilitating Scrum teams, removing impediments, ensuring proper adoption of Agile processes, and enabling the team to achieve sprint goals. This role focuses on fostering collaboration, protecting team focus, and guiding correct Scrum methodology implementation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team meets Sprint objectives and commitments.

  • Identify, own, and resolve team impediments.

  • Support the Product Owner with backlog maintenance, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Facilitate estimation, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and all Scrum ceremonies.

  • Maintain adherence to DOR, DOD, acceptance criteria, and MoSCoW prioritization.

  • Ensure proper implementation of Agile processes across the team.

  • Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions.

  • Enable clear communication and facilitate technical guidance when needed.

  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums and escalate impediments.

  • Provide performance feedback to Agile Line Managers and Program Leaders.

  • Ensure Scrum artifacts and ALM tools are updated daily.

  • Update and analyze Scrum metrics, taking corrective actions where needed.

  • Create and review competency improvement and cross-skilling plans.

  • Help the team achieve stable velocity within 6–8 sprints.

  • Train teams on Scrum, XP, Kanban, and engineering practices (ATDD, TDD, CI, CD, refactoring).

  • Own and track retrospective action items.

  • Participate in communities of practice and contribute to internal quality forums (QIC/APR/QBR/MBR).


Mandatory Skills

  • Agile Scrum Delivery

  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP, Kanban)

  • Experience with estimation, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Scrum ceremonies

  • Expertise with metrics, velocity tracking, and Agile reporting
