Job Description:
The Cigna Group is undergoing a large-scale global Agile transformation and is seeking an experienced Scrum Master – Senior Analyst to support high-quality and timely delivery of product development and technical initiatives. This role focuses on servant leadership, Agile coaching, and enabling teams to become high-performing, self-directed, and continuously improving within a global enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
• Ensure adherence to Scrum principles and Agile best practices
• Coach teams on Agile values, principles, and self-management
• Support Product Owners in backlog management, prioritization, and forecasting
• Help teams establish realistic delivery commitments at a sustainable pace
• Remove impediments and shield teams from external disruptions
• Manage dependencies and promote cross-team coordination
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
• Act as a change agent supporting Agile maturity and learning culture
• Track and maintain Agile metrics related to progress, quality, and value
• Participate in Agile communities of practice and Scrum Master forums
Required Skills:
• Strong expertise in Scrum practices and Agile methodologies
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
• Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work with cross-functional and matrixed teams
• Solid understanding of IT concepts, architectures, and standards
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in software development or IT project management
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar
• SAFe certifications (SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master)
• Experience working in large-scale or global Agile transformations
