Role Overview:
Taxmann Publications is seeking a highly motivated and Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) to lead and optimize Agile practices across multiple parallel sprint teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive servant leader with hands-on experience managing Agile ceremonies, improving team velocity, and collaborating across technical and business functions. The role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to influence Agile maturity and delivery efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Facilitation & Coaching
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach and mentor Scrum teams on Agile frameworks and principles.
Act as a servant leader by removing blockers and promoting team empowerment.
Sprint & Backlog Management
Collaborate with Project Managers and Product Owners to manage sprint goals, priorities, and backlog grooming.
Monitor sprint metrics such as velocity, burndown, and team throughput.
Track delivery timelines and ensure alignment with business goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with engineering, QA, product, and leadership teams to align sprint outcomes.
Coordinate with multiple teams when dependencies impact delivery schedules.
Provide regular updates, risks, and sprint summaries to senior stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Reporting
Identify improvement areas within Agile delivery processes.
Adapt hybrid models (Scrum/Kanban) based on project needs.
Maintain dashboards, Jira boards, and sprint artifacts for visibility and audit-readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM) – Mandatory
Experience: Minimum 1+ years as a Scrum Master, with overall 2+ years in Agile environments
Tools: Proficiency in Jira or equivalent Agile project management tools
Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, and delivery metrics
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple Scrum teams or concurrent sprints
Preferred Skills:
Experience in AI/ML or SaaS product environments
Exposure to hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodologies
Technical background (e.g., development, testing, or business analysis)
Educational Qualifications:
UG: B.A or Any Equivalent Graduate Degree
PG: Any Postgraduate Degree
Doctorate: Not Required
