Job Description

Digi Delight Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultant with Project Management & Accounting (PMA) experience. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting key D365 modules, including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and PMA.

This role requires strong business understanding, functional expertise, and excellent client-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Interact with clients to understand business processes, requirements, and workflows.

• Translate business needs into D365 F&O functional specifications.

• Conduct Fit-Gap analysis and propose best-practice solutions.

System Configuration & Functional Expertise

• Configure D365 F&O modules:

  • Finance: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets

  • Procurement & Sourcing

  • Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Sales & Marketing

  • Project Management & Accounting (PMA) – Mandatory

• Set up project categories, contracts, budgets, WBS, billing rules, and cost tracking within PMA.

• Configure workflows, number sequences, posting profiles, and master data.

Project Accounting Responsibilities

• Support and configure timesheets, expense management, and project invoicing.

• Handle project forecasts, revenue recognition, and project cash flow.

• Assist with project budgeting, cost control, and lifecycle management.

• Perform scenario testing for Fixed-Price, Time & Material, and Investment Projects.

Documentation & Testing

• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, FDDs, user manuals, and training documents.

• Develop test cases and support system testing and UAT.

• Record issues in Azure DevOps and track resolutions.

Deployment & Support

• Assist with data migration activities for PMA and finance modules.

• Support go-live activities, including cutover tasks and post-go-live stabilization.

• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide timely resolutions.

Client & Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with technical consultants to ensure customizations meet requirements.

• Work closely with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Conduct user training and knowledge transfer sessions.

Requirements

Mandatory

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with D365 F&O or AX 2012.

• Strong experience in Project Management & Accounting (PMA) module.

• Ability to work on project contracts, WBS, budgeting, billing, costing, and revenue recognition.

Functional Knowledge

• Finance (GL/AP/AR/FA)

• Procurement & Sourcing

• Inventory & Warehouse

• Sales & Marketing

• Timesheets & Expense management

• Understanding of P2P, O2C, R2R, and project lifecycle processes

Preferred Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate)

• Familiarity with integrations, data migration, and dual write concepts

• Experience in Azure DevOps for task tracking and documentation

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, stakeholder handling, and documentation skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping abilities

• Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and work under minimal supervision

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certification in D365 Finance or PMA

• Experience in full-cycle D365 implementation projects

• Exposure to global client environments
